Most people who struggle to sleep don't have a sleep problem.

The Nervous System and the Energy Body
Your autonomic nervous system has two primary modes: sympathetic activation (the stress response — fight, flight, freeze) and parasympathetic activation (the rest and repair state
— sometimes called the relaxation response).
Modern life is extraordinarily good at activating the sympathetic system and extraordinarily poor at returning it to baseline. Screens, noise, pressure, uncertainty, the endless loop of news and notification — all of it keeps the system in a low-grade state of alert that the body eventually accepts as normal.

The biofield — the measurable electromagnetic field surrounding every living system — is the operating environment in which your nervous system runs. Sleep disruption is rarely about sleep itself. In my sessions, I work intuitively with whatever is creating the noise that prevents rest. Common root patterns include:
Anxiety and the thinking mind — an energy field that is fragmented or spinning in the upper chakras, with insufficient grounding in the root and lower body. The session works to draw energy downward and anchor it, creating the felt sense of being held rather than scattered.
Emotional processing — grief, worry, relationship tension, and unexpressed feeling all generate energetic charge that the body processes at night when conscious defences are lowered. Moving this charge consciously, through Reiki, means the system doesn't need to do it at 3am.
Burnout and depletion — a field that is not so much active as hollow. When the energy body has given more than it has received for too long, sleep becomes shallow and unrestorative. Reiki replenishes — not as a metaphor, but as something clients reliably feel.
Spiritual restlessness — sometimes the disruption is not stress in the conventional sense but a deeper knowing that something in life needs to change. This kind of wakefulness is often the most meaningful — and the session creates space to hear what it is trying to say.
