Ancient Vedic seers and Hermetic philosophers arrived at the same truth independently: the structure of the cosmos is reflected within the human body. The seven visible celestial bodies — the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn — each govern one of the seven primary chakras, your spinning wheels of life-force energy.
Your chakras do not operate in isolation from the universe. They are intimate expressions of it. Every planet in our solar system transmits a specific quality of consciousness — a vibrational signature — and each chakra is a receiver attuned to one of those frequencies. When a planet is strong, well-aspected, or cosmically highlighted, the chakra it governs hums with greater vitality. When a planet is challenged or suppressed, the corresponding energy centre may contract, stagnate, or cry out for healing.
Think of your body not as a sealed container of flesh and bone, but as a radiant energy field in constant dialogue with the cosmos. The Sun & Mars
Solar, yang, outward-moving energy. Initiating, courageous, wilful. These planets build structure in the world and ignite the fire of action. They govern our physical vitality and sense of self.
RECEPTIVE · FEMININE
The Moon & Venus
Lunar, yin, inward-flowing energy. Nurturing, intuitive, relational. These planets soften, open, and receive. They govern our emotional depth, creativity, and capacity for love.
NEUTRAL · INTEGRATIVE
Mercury, Jupiter & Saturn
These androgynous planets balance and bridge. Mercury weaves intellect; Jupiter expands wisdom; Saturn grounds and disciplines. Together they integrate the masculine and feminine into unified consciousness.
Each of us carries all three currents within our energy field. Wholeness does not mean choosing one over the other — it means becoming a living bridge between all three. Root Chakra · Muladhara

Mars, the planet of courage, vitality, and decisive action, anchors itself at the very base of your spine — the foundation of your entire energy system. Muladhara governs survival, safety, and your right to take up space on this earth. A strong Mars here means you move through the world with fearless embodiment: grounded, dynamic, and fully present in your physicality.
When Mars energy flows freely through the Root, you wake each morning with the enthusiasm of a child discovering life anew. When it is blocked, you may experience chronic fear, financial insecurity, physical depletion, or an inability to take action even when you can see clearly what needs to be done. Signs of imbalance: Fear, fatigue, lower back pain, financial anxiety, disconnection from the body.
