Crystal Singing Bowls are crafted from pure quartz crystal and produce a sustained, resonant tone when played with a mallet. Because the human body is largely composed of crystalline structures — our bones, cells and energetic field all respond to vibrational frequency — the sound from a Crystal Bowl can directly influence the body's energy centres. Each bowl is tuned to a specific frequency that corresponds to one of the seven primary chakras, helping to clear blockages, restore flow and bring the entire system back into harmonious alignment. This is not a metaphor — it is physics. Everything in the universe, including you, vibrates at a frequency. Sound healing simply helps you find your way back to your natural one.
Do I need any experience with meditation or energy healing to benefit?
Absolutely not. These sessions are designed for everyone — whether you have been meditating for twenty years or have never tried it once. The Crystal Bowl does the work. Your only job is to listen and breathe. Many people who describe themselves as "unable to meditate" or "too busy to slow down" find that sound healing bypasses the overthinking mind completely, dropping them into deep states of relaxation and awareness almost immediately. How do I know which chakra I need to work on?
Your body already knows. Pay attention to where you feel tension, disconnection or recurring patterns in your life. Persistent anxiety and a fear of the future often signal a Root Chakra imbalance. Difficulty with creativity or intimacy may point to the Sacral. Lack of confidence to the Solar Plexus. Trouble giving or receiving love to the Heart. An inability to speak your truth to the Throat. Overthinking and disconnection from intuition to the Third Eye. And a sense of spiritual emptiness or lack of purpose to the Crown. You are also welcome to listen to all seven — a full chakra sweep is one of the most complete forms of energetic maintenance you can offer yourself.
How long should I listen to each session?
Each of the seven Crystal Bowl sessions is approximately 30 minutes in length, allowing the frequency enough time to work through the layers of your energy field. You may find that some sessions feel complete at 20 minutes, while others could hold you for the full duration and beyond. Trust your body's natural sense of when it has received what it needs. There is no wrong way to listen.
Can I listen to multiple chakra sessions in one sitting?
Yes — and a full chakra journey from Root to Crown is a deeply powerful experience. If you choose to go through all seven, allow yourself at least two to three hours and ensure you are in a safe, comfortable environment where you will not be disturbed. Drink plenty of water before and after, as sound healing can have a detoxifying effect on both the physical and energetic bodies. Some people prefer to focus on one chakra per session over seven days, working with each energy centre in sequence. Both approaches are valid and transformative.
What physical sensations might I experience during a session?
Every person's experience is unique. Some people feel deep warmth or tingling in specific areas of the body, particularly around the chakra being worked on. Others experience spontaneous emotional releases — tears, laughter, a sense of relief — as stored energy begins to move. Some drift into a deeply altered, dream-like state. Others remain lucid and simply feel profoundly relaxed. You may notice temperature changes, subtle pulsing sensations or a feeling of expansion in your chest or head. All of these are normal signs that your energy body is responding. If at any time you feel overwhelmed, simply open your eyes and take slow, grounding breaths.
How often should I listen for the best results?
Consistency creates cumulative benefit. For someone beginning their sound healing journey, I recommend listening to the relevant chakra session two to three times per week for the first month. From there, once a week as energetic maintenance is highly effective. If you are going through a particularly intense period of change, stress or healing, daily listening can be profoundly supportive. Think of it as a bath for your energy field — the more regularly you cleanse and align, the less build-up accumulates and the more naturally your energy flows.
Is sound healing safe for everyone?
Crystal Singing Bowl healing is gentle, non-invasive and safe for the vast majority of people. However, I recommend listening at a comfortable volume rather than very high levels, particularly if you are sensitive to sound or are in the first trimester of pregnancy. If you have a history of epilepsy, severe mental health conditions or are currently receiving medical treatment, please consult your healthcare provider before beginning.
